Boycott

Divestment and Sanctions

The Truth About the BDS Movement

  • BDS’s True Aim: The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, while posing as a progressive human rights movement, seeks to undermine Israel’s existence as a democratic Jewish state, continuing efforts to delegitimize it rather than fostering peace, justice, or human rights in the Middle East.

  • Economic Harm to Palestinians: BDS targets Israel’s economy, disregarding the livelihoods of nearly 100,000 Palestinians employed in Israel and West Bank settlements, who earn on average twice as much as those under the Palestinian Authority, supporting thousands of families.

  • Disrupting Palestinian Exports: BDS campaigns against Israeli companies like Agrexco, which since 2010 has exported hundreds of tons of Palestinian produce from Gaza to European markets, providing a critical economic lifeline for Palestinian farmers.

  • Undermining Peace Efforts: By promoting economic isolation over dialogue, BDS obstructs cooperative initiatives that benefit both Israelis and Palestinians, contradicting its claimed commitment to human rights and justice.
