Debunking Lies About
Israel
with Hard Facts
Ever scroll through X and see Israel slammed as an “apartheid state” or “colonial oppressor”? Maybe you’ve seen protests chanting for a Palestinian “right of return” or claiming Israel starves Gaza. Since October 7, 2023, these lies have exploded—online, on streets, across the West—cheering Hamas’s terror while painting Israel as the villain. I’m done with the noise. As a Jew, I’m standing tall for my homeland, armed with facts to cut through the propaganda. Here’s the truth about the most common lies thrown at Israel. Share this, debate it, and let’s set the record straight.
1. “Israel Is an Apartheid State”? Total Nonsense
They call Israel “apartheid” to demonize us. It’s a lie, and the facts shred it. Israel’s a vibrant, multicultural democracy where everyone—Jews, Arabs, Druze, Bedouins—has equal rights under law. Our 1948 Declaration of Independence guarantees “complete equality” for all, regardless of religion or race. Arabs, making up 25% of citizens, have held up to 17 Knesset seats, and even formed part of our government in 2021–2022 with Ra’am, an Arab Muslim party. We invested $16 billion in Arab communities. Arab Justice Salim Joubran oversaw our 2015 elections, and Druze Colonel Dr. Badar Tarif hit Major General in the IDF. Polls show most prefer living in Israel over Palestinian rule. Compare that to Hamas’s Gaza, where dissenters get executed. Apartheid? No. Israel’s a democracy, fighting to survive.
2. “Israel Denied Palestinian Statehood”? Wrong—They Rejected It
The claim that Israel blocked a Palestinian state is a distortion. History says otherwise: Palestinian leaders rejected statehood repeatedly. In 1948, our Declaration invited Arabs to stay as equals—hundreds of thousands did, becoming citizens. But their leaders rejected the 1947 UN Partition Plan (Resolution 181), launching a war to destroy us. They said no to statehood in 1937 (Peel Commission, 80% of West Bank/Gaza), 1947 (45% of Mandate), 2000 (Clinton’s 91% West Bank, all Gaza, East Jerusalem), and 2008 (Olmert’s 93% West Bank, Gaza, East Jerusalem). Each time, they chose violence—Arafat’s Second Intifada killed 1,000+ Israelis.
After October 7, 2023, I saw this lie everywhere—people on X and protests ignoring history, blaming Israel while Hamas fires rockets. We offered peace; they chose war.
3. “Palestinians Have a Right of Return”? No Such Thing
The “right of return” for Palestinian refugees is a myth. No refugee group in history—40 million resettled post-WWII—gets a collective “return” after 76 years. The European Court of Human Rights (2010) says mass returns aren’t legally binding. UN Resolution 194 (1948) isn’t binding either, suggesting “resettlement” or “repatriation” only for peaceful refugees. Arab leaders rejected it, launched wars, and kept the crisis alive.
Palestinian leaders caused the 1948 exodus by rejecting the UN plan—700,000 fled or were displaced. Since then, their wars and terror show no peace intent. Demanding “return” now means flooding Israel with enemies.
4. “Israel’s a Colonialist State”? We’re Indigenous
Calling Israel a “colonial project” erases our 3,000-year history. Jews are indigenous—King David’s Jerusalem, the Second Temple, our prayers, our DNA tie us to this land. Exiled by Romans in 70 CE, we never forgot it. The 1917 Balfour Declaration recognized our self-determination, not a colonial implant. In 1948, we rebuilt our homeland after surviving the Holocaust and Arab wars.
Contrast that with Hamas, whose charter calls for our erasure. Post-October 7, I saw “colonial” slurs on X, ignoring our roots while cheering terror.
5. “Israel Breaks War Rules”? We Exceed Them
They say Israel’s IDF ignores war laws. Wrong—we set the standard. International Humanitarian Law demands targeting only combatants, minimizing civilian harm. Hamas violates this, firing from schools and hospitals, using Gaza’s dense population as shields. The IDF? We go beyond requirements—phone calls, texts, leaflets to warn civilians, even canceling strikes to save lives. A 2015 report by global military leaders praised our restraint, saying it’s unmatched. Our Gaza civilian-to-combatant death ratio (1:1 to 1:1.5) beats urban wars like Iraq (1:2 to 1:4).
6. “Israel Starves Gaza”? Hamas Does That
The “forced starvation” lie is vile. Since October 7, 2023, Israel delivered 1.2 million tons of aid—food, water, medicine—on 60,841 trucks. Hamas steals it, sells it back to starving Gazans, and funds terror with the profits. Videos from 2025 hostage releases under Trump’s ceasefire showed emaciated captives—Hamas starves its own hostages, not us. International law doesn’t call blocking aid to terrorists a war crime when it’s repurposed for military use, but holding hostages is.
7. “BDS Is Justice”? It’s a Weapon
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement claims it’s for peace. It’s not—it’s a campaign to erase Israel. Even Noam Chomsky called BDS a call to destroy Israel, harming Palestinians most. Nearly 100,000 Palestinians work in Israel, earning double PA wages. BDS cuts their lifeline, killing exports like Gaza’s produce through Israeli firms. Post-October 7, BDS surged on X, masking hate as justice.
Stand Up, Speak Out
Over the last 19 months: 360 young Jews were gunned down at a party. Jewish students were barred from schools. Radical Islamists burned flags, waved terror banners, and chanted for genocide. Mobs attacked Jews worldwide. Iran launched enough rockets to obliterate Israel’s civilian population. Terrorists paraded hostages. Posters of a kidnapped 9-month-old Jewish baby were marked with swastikas—after 500+ days, he was returned strangled and mutilated, his tiny coffin stuffed with propaganda. Isn’t this enough? Stop waiting for celebrities or friends to care—they’ve chosen silence. Unite and act now. You’re needed today.
